A nightmare to port out legacy number

I received the message “service not available in your country” …

This company is absolutely a scam, they just deleted my account two days ago with NO READONS at all and try to steal all my numbers ported in there. I’d file FCC and WILL take legal actions. Avoid this company at all cause!!!

This was absolutely great for years, until my phone number "expired" despite constant use, and I can't pick a new one. New sign-ups seem to be closed, too. Incredibly disappointing.

Why will it say it’s not working in my country this a stupid app full of fake content

Code 409 service order error. Been getting this error for years when trying to get a phone number. Is it ever going to get fixed?

I look on many other websites for information about apps @apple and on those many others websites they are listed on these as APP STORE and FREE but GUESS WHAT it isnot there and or APPLE wants your credit card and pay This is a very BAD APPLE Long time apple user

I’m SO sick of these apps that claim to be FREE, make false promises of “no hidden fees”, but upon downloading the app you realize you’ve been scammed once again! Just be honest!!! 😡👎🏼

Quality is bad. Have a feature to take money out of your credit card even if you have active credit. They won’t even refund any unused credit.

STOP: Fake app to just capture your phone number

Every time i put the code for the number it always says 401 out of service. We need to fix it

Their service is so so but the real problem with FreedomPop is that they make it next to impossible to cancel the service. They’ve been making small vampire charges to my debit card for years and are now force converting all users to a $4/month mandatory charge. No means to cancel online and 2 hour wait on phone (and counting). Avoid at all costs.

Avoid the software and the company.

WARNING: We signed up for a free plan. To sign up you have to enter your credit card info to cover possible overages. We were notified of a “mandatory account change” that will charge us 3.99 a month. There is no way to delete my account. They have my credit card and you can’t select the free plan. I also tried to delete my account or even my card. Nope, not an option. If it sounds too good to be true it really is. 😔Stay Away! Don’t let my mess become yours!

Why make a app that makes another number so you can get calls and texts and make them send a text to your phone when your trying to use the app to get calls and text from another number come on really

App no longer loads after upgrading to IOS 14. App updates since the OS upgrade still does not resolve the issue of the app crashing as it loads.

Makes you input all your information then gives you an error code stating that a new account can not be created due to the server being down. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Since the authentication is down this app will not allow me to even sign up. Waste of time.

Excerpts from actual customer support tickets: “Can you please provide us with your email?” Response: “It’s the one I am replying from and the one I logged in with to open the ticket.” “Can you please provide us with your account phone number?” Response: “I opened the ticket because your system keeps returning an error when I try to select one which I stated three emails ago if you would read the reply. That is the whole point of the customer support ticket.” The service is even worse than the support. I cannot recommend anybody reading this to stay away any more strongly.

App crashes on launch, meaning no texting and calling for the plan I paid for.

After 4 years my 917 number was disconnected for non use regardless that I used more then 50% of my free plan last month.

I’ve been using this service for a few months now, and recently the app has been crashing every time I try to open it. It’s frustrating to pay this $46 a month for something that’ll act up like this. Please fix this bug, otherwise I’ll switch to another plan.

Worked fine when I first got this, now it keeps giving me the error message of “Your account is dormant from non usage”...works sometimes & sometimes not.

I use this app everyday when I need to call someone or text someone get this app it’s worth it if you have Service you don’t need this app but if you don’t have it it is amazing it’s cheaper in service to and less you’re looking looking to play games you should be fine with this. The only thing I think long as it is sometimes it doesn’t send the text like sometimes I need to send a really important text and it doesn’t go through other than that I would recommend it

Works better supports itself

It takes forever to register and you cannot make a call if the app/phone number doesn’t register. Worse experience. I don’t recommend FreedomPop.

Most of the 5 star reviews are fake and paid. I have used it for 2 years.Crappy customer support. Very opaque terms and conditions and will scam the money out of you from a lot of hidden charges. App crashes and you can't make a phone call due to it.

I was excited when I looked to see if by chance the app had been updated. Still doing the same error code when trying to select a number. It’s really too bad. Once was an awesome reliable app.

I had this free plan for a long time which you get about 200mb of data plus 50mb for each friend you have. Things were great Until they took away that extra 50mb per friend added. Plus, they would disable your account if you exceed the data limit and go to negative. Like how tf is that even possible? Why does data exceeding exist? Why do you have that function on if not to push free users away? They are basically forcing free users to pay for their overpriced plans since the beginning of about 2020. Not going to mention how hard it is to deal with their customer service which can take up to weeks to get stuff resolved and the account back to normal.

FreedomPop worked pretty good until these updates in the last 3 months or so. It's buggy now...like forcing me to write this review before opening the app. :-(

This is affordable. I like it. Thank You! I guess some people don’t know they have to dial from the app and need to install the apn and need internet connection and need to order the SIM card from the website.

Seriously this is a pain. Calls always go to voicemail unless u are looking at the app you won’t get any calls.

I have the free plan and for what I use it for, it is amazing, I cannot complain. Just don’t try and get in touch with customer service - cuz it won’t happen!!! Just make sure you watch carefully that you are not being charged, and you’re good to go! Free (number of) calls, free (number of) texts, and a very very limited amount of data! Like I say, for what I use it for, I cannot complain. Depends on what you need!

I am trying to sign up for second number but, after verifying number I get a 401 error.

No customer support , try their best to scam you. I cannot even make phone call or text and I got online to chat with them, whoever was talking to me just end the chat because they couldn’t figure out what was going on. Yonka or something, I remember your name! Watch out buddy!

I'm really mad I can't open my phone app for 2 days, I try to open my account throw to the web, it says my pass is not correct and when I try to change my pass by click on I forgot my passport, I don't have anything in my email

iPhone 11 iOS 13.6 So it took 8 months to make version 7.6 to allow voice mail to play in FreedomPoP rather than to have to save them and play them in VLC. Transcript still not available. I love that when I travel oversea, I can just buy a local SIM card to make local phone calls and access internet, as long as I have internet access either through cellular or WiFi, I can get phone calls to or from the USA as if I was in the USA and text messages from some websites that text numbers as two step verification. I would not mind to pay more if FreedomPoP had better tech support and better integration. From native iOS contacts I can directly call, video, message, pay... but unfortunately cannot FreedomPoP, need to use FreedoPop contact, thank God it can be easily refreshed synched with iOS Contacts.

Fool me three times shame on me. Nothing is really free
